Oh, so many naughty comments I could make...

Andy and Vince would approve. They are two very funny guys. Andy is pretty much what you expect. He's quick, he's campy and totally unafraid to say whatever's one his mind. Bell is surprisingly tall too -- like 6'3" tall.

While he's fond of really bad jokes, Vince has a super-dry, sly and wry personality. He's usually content to sit by the sideline and observe. Though you'd be hard pressed to tell, he does a lot of chuckling on the inside.

Until they got to know me, I had to work a bit harder than usual to get them to laugh.

Quick story: We were in Chicago in early March. We (the driver, Andy, Vince, myself, tour manager Andy Whittle plus Erasure's lovely backup singers Ann-Marie and Valerie) were all packed in a van driving to a 7:30 AM TV appearance. It was about 10 degrees with a stiff wind blowing off the lake. There was this policewoman directing traffic, all bundled up for the cold, with a certain je-ne-sais-quoi. Andy takes one look at her and says, "Oh, give me a ticket!"

We all burst out laughing.
